Welcome to The Literature Circle Discussion!

Remember to use this site for on-topic discussions of the book you are currently reading.

Check your rubric for how your posts are graded, but don't forget to:
-Make Connections
-Talk about main ideas about characters, plot, setting, etc.
-Make inferences based on evidence (theme, predictions, symbolism, etc)

Online discussion directions:
1.Click on your Book Group page to the left. Make sure you are in the right group!
2. Share your thoughts and feelings about your literature circle book. When posting questions, leave them open ended and not ones that have one single right answer. For example, "Who is the main character of the book?" would not be a good question because there's nothing to discuss. Try instead questions like, "What do you think the main character meant when they said...?"
3. Address who you are responding to in your response. If you're talking to everyone, then start "Dear Group-". If you're talking to one person, say "Dear (name)-".
4. Once you post your comment, you're not done. Respond to what others say and post back to them as well.
5. Utilize the connections discussion page to talk about books, events, or people you are reminded of by the book. Don't forget to discuss in detail! Respond to others' connections as well.

Email Mr. Ciccolella if you have any questions.
